The DKIM record acts as a so-called cryptographic signature, which is used by the mail server to verify the authenticity of mail and e-mail addresses. When you send the letter, you digitally sign it to protect it from unauthorised access. This technology can help to eliminate spam, as recipients are more easily identified by each mail system. This setting goes hand in hand with the SPF record, so both settings are needed for perfect safety.
To set up our DKIM record, see the description below.
1. Enter the cPanel interface if you need help HERE for detailed instructions.
2. In the cPanel interface, click on the“Email Deliverability” menu.

3. On the next page you will see a list of the Domain Names in the system, and the system will check if the SPF and DKIM records are set correctly.
If the SPF and DKIM records are set correctly, you will see the word“Valid” next to the Domain Name. In this case, no further adjustment is necessary.
However, if it is incorrect or not set, you will see“Problems Exist (DKIM and SPF)”. To continue, click on the“SEE” button.

4. On the next page, scroll to the DKIM section and click on“INSTALL THE SUGGESTED RECORD”. This way, the cPanel system will automatically set the DKIM record for your domain name.
If you want to configure it for another service provider (e.g.: the domain is not running from Sybell name servers), you have to enter the values in this section manually in the DNS manager of the other service provider.

5. After pressing the button on the next page you will get a feedback in the top right corner that you have successfully set the DKIM record.

When the page loads, we will see that our DKIM record is“Valid”.
